Hello Everyone!
Hello!!!!!!!!!!
Or should I be saying "G'day"!!!!!!!
I haven't been on here for AGES, because I lost the addy and didn't get any emails abut it (til today!) LOL......... I'm SO glad to be back and glad to see this site is still going strong!!
Things are going quite welll here in Oz. It's the first day of Autumn here (and your first day of Spring over there!) Everyone is so pleased that summer is over, as it was the summer of hell for many people with the tragic bushfires (I'm sure you would have heard about them over there) They were the worst fires in the history of Australia... I wasn't affected, but I feel for all the people who have died, lost their homes or lost loved ones it's been a shocker!!
I'm getting better with my middle ear thingy.... It's been 2 years so far!!! - But that is a normal time frame apparently...... *grumble, grumble* It takes so long, cos you basically have to 're-train' the brain to get used to stuff again so it doesn't get dizzy... I think my brain is 'blonde' cos it's taking SOOOOOOOOOOO long to learn stuff!!
- But I'm getting there!! WOOOOHOOO!!! - STILL can't hike as yet, but think I'll gradually be allowed to do it this year... But I think I need a Personal Trainer, cos I've lost ALL my confidence, and they will just help me til I feel more confident.
My farm is good. My animals are all well. We've had some sick cows, and I had to give them an injection!! *Fliss faints* I don't usually do this, but no-one else was around. The injections are HUGE...... and I nearly passed out!! So don't think I was made to be a Vet!! (Besides, it ruins your nails and lip-gloss!!)
My darling dogs are fine too. Myf (my border collie) is getting old now which breaks my heart... but she is very healthy, she went for a check-up at the Vet's and got the all clear. She does have bad arthritis though but she is good. The other dog, Rocky is as happy as Larry and is a gorgeous animal!
My baby sister is getting married next year in June!! WOOOOHOOOO BABY!!!!!!! I am soooooo happy for her!! I am crossing my fingers that she will ask me to be a bridesmaid!! Because I'd love it!! Really need to lose heaps of weight first though... cos I haven't really been able to exercise for a long time and OK, I haven't exactly been eating celery sticks!! So I feel a bit pressurised about that, but that could be a good thing!!
But each month that goes by, if I haven't lost any weight I'm like.... "Flamin Nora Fliss, that's one month less you have to be SKINNY"
LOL
Right, as you can see, I can still 'waffle'!
Oh, and I'm STILL Luke mad!
Anyway, great to have re-discovered this site!

Re: Hello Everyone!
Hi Fliss
Good to hear from you.
I'm glad for you that its Autumn coming there, l didnt realise today was the 1st day of Spring, l always thought it was 21st March! Oh well l'm sure we have had this convo before!!!
l'm actually looking forward to the spring/summer as long as its not too hot obviously, as now l have lost a bit of weight, and hopefully will lose more, then l will feel more comfortable in the heat.
Sorry to hear Myf is worrying you, l'm exactly the same with Rusty although he acts just lie a kitten!! You can see around his face that he is no longer as young as he used to be and my heart breaks (just like yours) knowing that he is getting on now, he still loves to sleep in/on our bed though, but always next to his Mummy!!!
You take care hun and l really hope you are a bridesmaid for your sis, does she live near you?
Bye xxxxxxx

Re: Hello Everyone!
is it?? the 1st day of spring??? yes we have had this conversastion before hahahahaha... it has changed over the years lol
It classes the first day of spring as 1 March, saying March, April and May are regarded as the spring months. But traditionally spring has started on the night of 20/21 March and a row has erupted over the official date.
"You would not regard the first three weeks of June as spring, yet historically summer does not start until 21 June," says a spokesman for the Met Office. "Equally, the bulk of people now regard 1 March as the first day of spring."

My sis lives in Brisbane - about 7 hours drive away.. Really hope I'm a bridesmaid!! But DO have to shift a lot of weight first!!
Myf (pronounced Muffie just for clarificiation!) is really great for a dog of her age (12) but I still wish that she was 3 instead!! But I guess, if the dog I had before Myf lived a long time, then I wouldn't have Myf now!! She is a darling and is very happy and healthy which is the main thing!!
